Global Council for Tolerance and Peace

The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace is a not for profit international organisation whose goal is
to reach true and sustained peace for human kind through spreading the culture of tolerance among countries.


The International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP) which is an integral part of the Global Council for Tollerance and Peace (GCTP), held its first procedural session at the Maltese Parliment in Valletta, Malta, on July 6, 2018.

The International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace launched its activities in the European Capital of Culture 2018. Professor Nabil Ayad, Assistant President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace for Diplomatic and Academic Affairs, attended the event. The launch was presided over by the Maltese Speaker, The Hon Angelo Farrugia, with the participation of Heads of National and Provincial Parliaments and MPs representing fifty-four countries from all continents as well as Maltese Government senior officials. During the launch the following committees were established: Committee of Youth and Women, Committee of Legal and Legislative Matters, Committee of International Matters, Committee of Cultivating Peace and Committee of Sustainable Development. In this session, the aims of the five key committees were stated as follows: to develop a new global strategy to instill a culture of tolerance and peace in the face of prejudice, extremism, terrorism, violence, racism and discrimination.
